PLO - Department of Engineering

PLO1 - Engineering Knowledge (basic engineering and mathematics courses)

Apply fundamental knowledge of engineering, mathematics and science for solutions of elementary engineering problems.

PLO2 - Problem Analysis (advanced engineering courses and project)

Identify, formulate, research literature, and examine fundamental engineering problems and reach plausible conclusions using principles of engineering, mathematics and sciences.

PLO3 - Design/Development of Solutions (advanced engineering courses and project)

Design solutions for fundamental engineering problems and develop systems, components or processes that meet specified user requirements.

PLO4 - Investigation (all engineering courses, labs and project)

Investigate essential engineering problems in a methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct experimental analysis and interpretation of experimental data, and synthesis of information to derive valid conclusions.

PLO5 - Modern Software/Tools Usage (IT course and simulation/ lab activities)

Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering/ IT tools, including prediction and modeling, on engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PLO6 - The Engineer and Society (advanced engineering courses and project)

Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge and assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.

PLO7 - Environment and Sustainability (project and internship)

Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

PLO8 - Ethics (non-engineering courses and project)

Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

PLO9 - Individual and Team Work (project and all courses)

Perform efficiently as an individual or in a team on multifaceted and /or multidisciplinary settings.

PLO10 - Communication (project, English and courses presentations/ projects)

Communicate effectively, orally as well as in writing, on engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
